Review: Salvatore Ferragamo Varina Flats – Fast Food & Quick Style
I’m a fan of the Salvatore Ferragamo Vara Pumps (purchase right here) and ordered the Varina Flats to try a while ago. I did not keep them however wanted to share my thoughts.
The design is basic with a feminine touch; I believe the Varina is as classic a design for bow flats as they arrive. I also enjoy the myriad of colours that they are available in, including all the beautiful seasonal colors as well because the seasonless black, crimson, navy and bisque pink.
I have grown wary of footwear with too-spherical (and conversely, too pointy) toes and admire the mildly almond-shaped toe of Salvatore Ferragamo shoes that has stood the check of time. The toebox will not be too shallow and is spared of the too-much-cleavage problem that plagues some sneakers in the same model.
For me, whose toes skew large with medium arches, the Varina was not essentially the most comfy. The sneakers in 7B (medium width, size 7), which is my regular size in flats, pinched my toes barely and have been a detailed fit within the heel. I feel the footwear will stretch (only slightly provided that they are patent leather) over time but feel that the form of the shoe did not present adequate help for my medium arches (I did not really feel that my feet sat completely stage on the cushion which is able to inevitably put pressure on my ft with extended put on).
My advice on sizing is ordering your normal dimension for flats you probably have narrow to common width ft and going up a dimension when you’ve got wider ft (or ordering the style in C or D widths).
I’ve read opinions in the past which declare that after a break-in period, the Varina flats turn into really comfortable so I will not rule out the possibility of re-ordering them sooner or later.
I needed for instance the difference in match (or possibly buy ferragamo jelly shoes simply size) between the Varina and the Vara. The Vara pumps (picture below from this put up) had a noticeable gap within the back for me in the identical measurement (7B).
I tried on a pair of purple Varina’s and was struck by how pretty the type was in a wealthy shade. The purple is at present on sale at Bloomingdale’s in restricted sizes.
